Here's the nitty gritty:

Responsibilities: MUST be comfortable taking phone calls and handling customer issues.

Purpose: Improving customer experience through direct customer support


  • Triaging and documenting phone, email, and chat interactions with the outside world.

  • Recommending poultry breeds and products.

  • Implementing solutions relating to products, orders, and complaints.

  • Communication, communication, and.. did we mention communication?

  • Adding and retrieving information to/from spreadsheets.

  • Maintaining product availability.

  • Making sure orders are sensible each time an order is reviewed.

  • Navigating several tabs and software platforms in a silultaneous effort to take the best care of our valued customers.

Required Qualifications for this position:

  • Must live in Wisconsin

  • Typing at least 60 words per minute.

  • Extremely comfortable with computers and the internet, including the ability to multitask in 20+ browser tabs and windows simultaneously; able to effectively search for and find information using internal and external search engines.

  • The ability to answer a high volume of phone calls, emails, and live chats in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Here it is again... Communicating clearly: both orally and in writing ( it's REALLY important)

  • The Internet must be Fiber Optic, Cable, or DSL, FIOS, T1 or T3. NOTE: Dial-up, satellite or Wifi/4G-only internet service will not work.

Schedule: Customer Service hours run between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM CST. You will set your own hours and schedule within these time frames and given policies as long as you are able to meet the accountabilities for your roles. We are looking for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Mondays would generally be required unless you'd rather work weekends.. either way, we are looking for Mondays to not suck after being closed for the weekend. Please note that we would need you to train for a minumum of 4 weeks during daytime hours before we leave you here on the weekends.. There will be no "throwing you to the wolves" cuz that is scary!
